Malurus Wines

Clarendon South Australia

Malurus wines come from the Clarendon sub-district of McLaren Vale where the vineyards were planted from 1997 using local scions as root stock. The vineyard is on the northern slope of Piggott Range at 300 metres above sea level. Soils are mainly shale over red clay and limestone. The fruit is handpicked and after processing is stored in American Oak barrels for 10 to 12 months. The name Malurus comes from the scientific name for Blue Wrens that live around the property. The wine is full bodied and should be decanted at length prior to consumption. During the fruit development and processing of this wine no River Murray water has been used.

We can arrange delivery anywhere in Australia however freight charges are dependent on location for delivery.
